Q. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small set of instructions placed in your machine within a specific cookie file. This cookie is put (called setting a cookie) by the host server and is used to store information about you and your computer. The next time you visit the site it will dip into the cookie file and recover your details. This facilitates better interaction with the site. But cookies also have severe security implications and all browsers provide an option to turn off the cookies ie. not allow any site to place cookies on your machine.
